Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how IPTV Xsmart Player ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application ("the App") available on iOS and Android, and this website.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are
IPTV Xsmart Player is a media player application that lets you connect your own M3U playlists or Xtream Codes subscriptions to watch live TV, movies, and series. We do not provide or host streaming content.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you use the App, you may provide:
- Playlist and login credentials — M3U playlist URLs, uploaded M3U files, Xtream server URLs, usernames, and passwords. These are stored locally on your device to connect to your chosen service.
- Access codes — If you use code-based access for matches or channels, the code you enter is sent to our servers to validate access.
- App preferences — Theme (dark/light), language, player settings (buffer size, quality, user-agent), and favorites are stored locally on your device.
2.2 Information collected automatically
We and our third-party partners may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Usage analytics — Through Firebase Analytics, we collect anonymized or pseudonymized data about how you use the App (e.g., screens visited, playback events, onboarding completion). This helps us improve the App.
- Advertising data — Through Google AdMob, advertising identifiers and device information may be collected to show and measure ads. AdMob may use cookies and similar technologies. You may see personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your consent settings and region.
- Device information — Device type, operating system version, app version, and general diagnostic data may be collected by analytics and advertising SDKs.
- Crash and performance data — Firebase and platform services may collect crash logs and performance metrics to maintain app stability.
2.3 Information we do not collect
- We do not require you to create an account to use the App.
- We do not store your Xtream or M3U credentials on our servers — they remain on your device unless you choose to share them with a third party.
- We do not sell your personal information.
3. How we use your information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the App's core functionality (playback, favorites, continue watching).
- Validate access codes and load match schedules or channel lists when applicable.
- Display advertisements through Google AdMob.
- Analyze usage patterns to improve features, performance, and user experience.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Third-party services
The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase Analytics — Firebase Privacy
- Google AdMob — Google Privacy Policy · AdMob & data
- Your IPTV provider — When you connect an M3U playlist or Xtream server, your device communicates directly with that provider. We are not responsible for their data practices.
Match schedule and access-code data may be served from our content delivery endpoints. No personally identifiable information is required to view public match schedules.
5. Data storage and security
Playlist credentials, session data, favorites, and player settings are stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage (AsyncStorage and Expo Secure Store where applicable).
Analytics and advertising data are processed by Google on their infrastructure. While we take reasonable measures to protect information, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
You can remove locally stored data at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or uninstalling the App.
6. Advertising and your choices
The free version of the App displays banner and interstitial advertisements via Google AdMob. Ads are not shown during video playback.
Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland may be presented with a consent dialog (Google User Messaging Platform) to manage advertising preferences in compliance with applicable regulations.
7. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
8. International data transfers
Information processed by Google (Analytics, AdMob) may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States. Google implements appropriate safeguards as described in their privacy documentation.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for advertising or analytics where consent is the legal basis.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, you may submit a request through the support channel listed on our App Store or Google Play listing. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
10. Data retention
- On-device data — Retained until you clear app data or uninstall the App.
- Analytics data — Retained according to Firebase's default retention settings (typically up to 14 months for Google Analytics 4).
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice within the App.
12. Contact us
